Jon Grover, Drums

Jon Grover began playing drums at the age of 10 in the Missoula school district, and was playing semi-pro around Western Montana at the age of 14. After two years at the University of Montana as a Music Education major, performing in their prestigious Jazz Workshop and other ensembles, Jon played in a variety of bands in the area. He did stints as house drummer at the Golden Goose in Lolo, Mt, and the Diamond Horseshoe in Polson Mt. He has also spent time touring Montana and the Midwest as well as Western Canada.
Most recently, Jon has been active in the Western WA music scene filling in for many groups and playing with such local favorites as Laurette Langelle and the Rogue Paradise Blues Band, Andy Koch and the Badd Dog Blues Society, the Hambone Wilson Band, Leslie Rostron and Lovejunkie, and Manuel Morias and A Simple Machine. He has been called “a monster” drummer, “the best feel drummer in Washington” and prides himself on having big ears and a bigger imagination.
After some 15 years of trying to get him on board, Johnny B finally asked at the right time and Jon is now the heartbeat of The Shadow Creek Project.
