Joey Butler,Growing up in Spokane, WA. Born in 1952, he started playing the piano at the age of 8yrs old, taking lessons from his grand mother, Grace Macartney, whom was a concert pianist. At age 12 he broke his left wrist and was put into a cast with his hand turned upwards in the position of holding a guitar. That's when he started to play guitar with help from lifetime friend Jeff Menteer of Stacey Jones and the Wolf Tones. Moving to Seattle,WA. in the mid seventies to persue his work in the restaurant business, he started work in second jobs playing music and running sound and lights for different groups around Puget Sound. In 1988 he moved to Skagit County and worked in various restaurants and clubs. Managing kitchens and playing music in most of them. Through the years he has played big band, country, folk, pop, 50's, and classic rock and roll. In 2006 he met Jeffery Miller, a musician from the mid west and started collaborating on some new music venues. After Joey and Jeff met Johnny B it became history.
Joey uses an Ensonic TS12 synth, a Roland Juno D, a Yamaha YS 200 and a Roland Juno 60 for keyboards
and when playing guitar uses a Guild D-50, an Applause 12 string, and a Les Paul Custom electric.
